ABC's New Shows - Veda Rains

Alright. It's time for Take 2 on Fall Lineups. ABC's got a load of new shows. Here's the list: Apartment 23, Charlie's Angels, The Chew (daytime), Good Christian Belles, Last Man Standing, Man Up, Missing, Once Upon a Time, Pan Am, Revenge, The River, Scandal, Suburgatory, Take the Money and Run and Work it! Whew! I'm tired just listing all of those. After viewing the previews for a handful of these shows, a few stood out to me:

Last Man Standing (aka The Last Days of Man)
Tim Allen steps back into serial territory as a man who realizes that it's...no! A woman's world. Allen still plays the "manly man" made famous on the hit 90s show, "Home Improvement," but now he's the odd man out at home with his wife and daughters ruling the house. While seasoned Mad About You star Paul Reiser recently experienced the harsh reality of how quickly a show can be dropped (after airing the first episode, no less) I have faith that Tim Allen could very well have a hit on his hands.
Likelihood of Survival: Good

Charlie's Angels
ABC gives the three female private eyes another reboot with Annie Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly, and Heidi Rae as the leads. While watching the preview, I couldn't help but feel as if I was watching something from the 90s. Why? I cannot say. Perhaps it was the music, setting... Not that that's a bad thing, but I'm going to have to count this as an underdog show. Sure, guys will tune in to watch the lovely ladies and girls should be amped to see women kickin' butt, but how many? And with a past TV series and a film franchise, how will this show stand on its own? How will it be different? It will be interesting to see.
Likelihood of Survival: Not so good.

Once Upon A Time
I admit, I'm a fan of fairy tales, so when I saw the preview for Once Upon A Time (starring Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla, among others), I was intrigued and excited! The series follows a woman (Morrison) with a troubled past who is drawn to a small town in Maine where the magic and mystery of Fairy Tales just may be real. With creators of the Adam Horowitz & Edward Kitsis (exec producers of Lost), this show has the ability to be a huge hit. However, will its other-worldly mystery lose viewers?
Likelihood of Survival: It's a toss-up. (partly because I'm blinded and want it to succeed!)
